Varma and Patidar Helm India A Squad for Australia A Clash

Rajat Patidar and Tilak Varma will captain India A in a three-match one-day series against Australia A starting on September 30 in Kanpur. Patidar is set to lead the team in the first match at Green Park Stadium, with Tilak taking over for the second and third matches on October 3 and 5. Patidar will act as Tilak’s vice-captain.
Joining Patidar for the first match are wicketkeepers Prabhsimran Singh and Abhishek Porel, alongside Riyan Parag, Ayush Badoni, Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Priyansh Arya, Ravi Bishnoi, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, and Simarjeet Singh.
Following the conclusion of the Asia Cup on September 28, Varma will join the squad for the remaining two matches. The team retains most of its core from the first game but includes Abhishek Sharma, along with additional pace options in Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh.

India A squad for 2nd and 3rd one-day: Tilak Varma (Captain), Rajat Patidar (VC), Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Riyan Parag, Ayush Badoni, Suryansh Shedge, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Abhishek Porel (WK), Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh.
This will be India A’s first one-day series in over two years. Their last appearance was in the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Emerging Cup 2023 final, where they were defeated by Pakistan Shaheens. Abhishek Sharma, Nishant Sindhu, Riyan Parag, and Harshit Rana were also part of that team.
