PAK vs SA 2nd Test – Scorecard
Day 1 Overview
Pakistan capitalized on South Africa’s lapses in the field to reach 259-5 on the first day of the second and final Test in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The visitors, missing five catching opportunities on a spin-friendly wicket, could have found themselves in a more advantageous position after Pakistan elected to bat first.
Captain Shan Masood, who had an escape on 71 due to Keshav Maharaj’s misfortune, led the scoring with 87 runs, while Abdullah Shafique—benefiting from four missed chances—contributed 57 runs.
Saud Shakeel and Salman Agha are set to continue on Tuesday, not out on 42 and 10, respectively, as the home team aims for a 2-0 series victory over the world Test champions.
