South Africa's Cricket Tour to Pakistan: Full Match Schedule and Venues Announced

Pakistan is set to launch its ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 campaign with a two-match home series against the reigning champions, South Africa, starting on October 12. This series marks South Africa’s first return to Pakistan for a Test series since 2021, when they faced a 2-0 defeat led by the Pakistani captain, Babar Azam.

In addition to the Test matches, the two teams will compete in six white-ball games, comprised of three T20Is and three ODIs.

The ODI series will take place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, hosting its first 50-over international match in 17 years; the last such event was against Bangladesh in April 2008.

Commenting on the announcement, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed stated, “We are eagerly anticipating South Africa’s visit for the opening series of our ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 campaign. The return of ODI cricket to Faisalabad after 17 years is a significant occasion. Iqbal Stadium holds a cherished position in our cricket history, and we are thrilled to reintroduce international cricket to this region.”
