Sophie Devine Captains New Zealand’s World Cup 2025 Squad with Fresh Talent Infusion

On Wednesday, New Zealand revealed its squad for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. The 15-member team will be captained by veteran Sophie Devine and includes four players making their debut in a World Cup: Flora Devonshire, Polly Inglis, Bella James, and Bree Illing.

Additionally, the squad boasts significant experience. Suzie Bates, alongside Devine, is set for her fifth ODI World Cup, while Lea Tahuhu is entering her fourth. Maddy Green and Melie Kerr will each participate in their third World Cup.
