Smriti Mandhana Joins Manchester Super Giants for Thrilling Women’s Hundred Campaign

India’s prominent opening batter, Smriti Mandhana, has been signed by Manchester Super Giants for the upcoming season of the Hundred Women’s competition, as announced on Thursday. The elegant left-hander has participated in four editions of the franchise tournament from 2021 to 2024, amassing 676 runs in 29 innings while playing for Southern Brave.

Mandhana is one of six Indian players who have participated in the tournament thus far. This group includes Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, talented all-rounder Deepti Sharma, explosive opener Shafali Verma, dynamic wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh, and dependable middle-order player Jemimah Rodrigues.

The Super Giants have also revealed the signing of former Australia captain Meg Lanning, who previously played for London Spirit and Oval Invincibles in the competition. In her 18 matches, Lanning has notched up 457 runs with an impressive strike rate of 132.08.
