Setback for India A: Prasidh Krishna Exits 2nd Unofficial Test with Concussion
Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna was compelled to retire hurt on the second day of the second unofficial Test between India A and Australia A in Lucknow on Wednesday. Prasidh was hit on the helmet by a bouncer from Australian bowler Henry Thornton during the 39th over of India A’s first innings. Following the incident, he underwent a concussion test in accordance with the protocol and initially decided to continue playing. However, after three overs, Prasidh experienced discomfort and chose to walk off the field.
At the time, the 29-year-old was batting on 16, ending a promising eighth-wicket partnership with Sai Sudharsan that had helped stabilize the India A innings after a middle-order collapse. Yash Thakur later came in as a concussion substitute for Prasidh.
During his short time at the crease, Prasidh managed to hit Henry for a six over midwicket and also edged a ball for a boundary past the slip cordon.
Earlier in the match, Prasidh had a challenging performance with the ball, giving away 76 runs in 17 overs while managing to take only one wicket.
