RCB Clinches Historic Playoffs Spot with Unprecedented Winning Streak in WPL 2026

RCB Makes History with Unmatched Winning Streak to Secure WPL 2026 Playoffs Spot

Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the first team to secure a spot in the Playoffs of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 following a 61-run victory over Gujarat Giants at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Monday.

Gautami Naik’s first WPL half-century led the team to an impressive total of 178 for six, with the bowlers ensuring a fifth straight win since the beginning of this season’s competition.

Adding to their win in the final match of the 2025 season, RCB now holds the record for the longest winning streak in the women’s T20 competition, with six consecutive victories.

Led by Smriti Mandhana, the team, which won the second edition of the WPL in 2024, is well-positioned to qualify directly for the final as the table leader. They need just one more win in their remaining three games to secure a spot in the championship match.
