Ravindra Jadeja Headlines Saurashtra Squad for 2025-26 Ranji Trophy Clash with Madhya Pradesh

Jadeja to Lead Saurashtra in 2025-26 Ranji Trophy Opener Against Madhya Pradesh

India’s star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, is gearing up to play for Saurashtra in their second-round Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh, which begins on Saturday at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

The 36-year-old Jadeja was not included in the squad for the three-match ODI series in Australia, where India faced a 2-0 deficit after a two-wicket loss in Adelaide on Thursday.

However, Jadeja will be part of the team for the home encounter, played on the same pitch that recently favored spinners during Saurashtra’s opening game against Karnataka.

In the previous match in Rajkot, spin bowlers dominated by taking 31 of the 35 wickets in a game that ended in a draw. Saurashtra secured three points due to their narrow four-run first-innings lead.

Jadeja, who is currently the top-ranked Test all-rounder, recently shined in the two-match home series against the West Indies. He played a crucial role in India’s 2-0 victory, scoring his sixth Test century with an unbeaten 104 in the first Ahmedabad Test and taking eight wickets throughout the series.
