Ngidi’s Hamstring Sidelines Him: Major Blow for SA in T20I Series Against ENG
South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been excluded from the upcoming T20I series against England due to a hamstring injury.
Cricket South Africa shared the news via social media, stating that Ngidi suffered the injury during a training session on Tuesday. He underwent scans to assess the severity of the strain.
A post on Twitter from the Proteas highlighted the update:

Proteas Men’s fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the T20 International (T20I) series against England with a right hamstring strain. He sustained the injury during training on Tuesday at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, and subsequent scans…”
As a result, left-arm fast bowler Nandre Burger, previously part of the ODI squad, will replace Ngidi in the T20I lineup. Burger is set to join the team before the second T20I in Manchester.
The series opener is scheduled to take place in Cardiff on Wednesday.
