Bangladesh and Ireland are set to face each other in a two-match Test series, commencing on Tuesday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium’s Academy Ground.

While not part of the World Test Championship (WTC), this series presents an opportunity for both teams to gain valuable experience in the longest format. Bangladesh has participated in four Test matches this year, drawing a series against Zimbabwe 1-1 and losing to Sri Lanka 0-1.

Conversely, Ireland has played one Test match this year, securing a victory by 63 runs over Zimbabwe in February.
