Kohli and Sharma Shine: India's Stellar VHT Round 1 Highlights

The premier List A tournament of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Vijay Hazare Trophy, commenced on Wednesday. Cricket stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma both scored centuries, leading their respective teams to victory. Delhi defeated Andhra by four wickets, while Mumbai comfortably overcame Sikkim by eight wickets.

Notable performances were seen from Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, and Abhishek Sharma, who participated in the opening round. Under-19 prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a striking performance, scoring 190 runs off 84 balls for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh.

Following a successful win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with Jharkhand and securing a spot in India’s T20 World Cup squad, Ishan Kishan continued his stellar form by hitting a century off just 33 balls.
