Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the captain of the India ‘A’ team for the three-match one-day series against Australia A, scheduled from September 30 to October 5 at Green Park, Kanpur. Initially assigned as captain for this series, Rajat Patidar will now lead the Rest of India team in the Irani Cup against the Ranji Trophy Champions Vidarbha, starting October 1.

Due to the captaincy changes, Tilak Varma, who was initially named to captain the second and third matches, will now serve as Iyer’s vice-captain. The rest of the India ‘A’ squad remains unchanged. Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Arshdeep Singh will join for the final two matches after completing their commitments with the national team at the Asia Cup.
