India's ODI Battle Squad: Full Player Roster Against Australia

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia scheduled to start on October 19. Shubman Gill has been appointed as the captain, taking over from Rohit Sharma, while Shreyas Iyer will serve as the vice-captain. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who retired from Test cricket earlier this year, are included in the lineup.

With Rishabh Pant unavailable due to injury, Dhruv Jurel earns his first call-up to the ODI squad and will serve as KL Rahul’s backup as wicketkeeper.

Rested for this series are all-rounder Hardik Pandya and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj returns to the squad after missing out on the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this year, and he will lead the bowling attack alongside Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana.

This series marks India’s first ODI outing since their ICC Champions Trophy victory in March. The opening match will take place in Perth, followed by games in Adelaide and Sydney on October 23 and 25, respectively.
