The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a prize pool of ₹21 crore for the Indian men’s team and support staff following their Asia Cup 2025 victory over Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday.
Tilak Varma’s unbeaten half-century secured India’s third win over Pakistan in the tournament and marked India’s record-extending ninth continental title.
“Three blows. 0 response. Asia Cup Champions. Message delivered. 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff,” BCCI mentioned in a social media post.
“It was an extraordinary victory and as part of the celebrations, BCCI has declared a cash award of ₹21 crore for the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told PTI.
The exact distribution of the funds has not been specified by the board. Additionally, the team will receive USD 300,000 (approximately ₹2.6 crore) from the tournament organizers as official prize money for the win.
