Indian Stars Set to Shine: Meet the Players in WBBL 2025 Season 11

Rising Cricketers: Indian Talents Spotlighted in WBBL 2025 Season 11

Following their remarkable performance in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, several international cricket stars are set to participate in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 11, which kicks off on Sunday in Brisbane.

Among them, only one player from the World Cup-winning Indian team will compete in the tournament in Australia. Jemimah Rodrigues, who shone in India’s semifinal victory at the World Cup, will represent Brisbane Heat in this season of the WBBL.

Since 2021, Jemimah has been a consistent presence in the league, playing 30 matches across three teams—Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, and Brisbane Heat.

The 25-year-old has accumulated 644 runs in the WBBL, maintaining an average of 25.76 and a strike rate of 121.50. She ranks as the third-highest Indian run-scorer in the league’s history, trailing behind Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana.

Last season, the Mumbai-native was Brisbane Heat’s second-highest run-scorer, amassing 267 runs in 10 games.

Jemimah’s team, Brisbane Heat, will commence their campaign against the defending champions, Melbourne Renegades, on Sunday, November 9.
