England Shakes Up Bowling Line-Up: Tongue Steps in for Atkinson in Third Ashes Test

England Revamps Bowling Attack: Tongue Replaces Atkinson for Third Ashes Test

England has announced its lineup for the third Ashes Test against Australia, scheduled to be held in Adelaide, starting December 17. Seamer Josh Tongue will replace Gus Atkinson for this crucial match, as England aims to remain competitive in the series after trailing 0-2 in the five-match series.

Atkinson has struggled in the previous two Tests, taking only three wickets with an average of 78.66. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Tongue joins the team, looking to make an impact despite a wicketless outing in the day-night tour game against Australia’s PM XI.

England will also continue with Will Jacks as their primary spinner, opting to retain him over Shoaib Bashir.
