Cricket South Africa has announced a reduction in the number of matches for the home T20I series against West Indies from five to three. The series is now set to take place from January 27 to 31, 2026.
This adjustment follows the ICC’s decision to set January 31 as the commencement of the support period for the 2026 T20 World Cup, necessitating CSA to conclude the series before this date. Originally, the series was planned to continue until February 6.
The series will begin at Boland Park in Paarl on January 27, followed by the second game in Centurion on January 29. The concluding match, slated for January 31 at the Wanderers, will also serve as the Pink Day fixture of the season, an annual South African cricket event aimed at supporting breast cancer awareness and fundraising.
