Bangladesh Unveils Team Roster for 2026 T20 World Cup Battle

Bangladesh Dominates Opening Play in Pivotal 3rd T20I Against Ireland

On Sunday, Bangladesh revealed its squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka starting February 7.

Opening batter Litton Das will lead the team placed in Group C alongside England, Italy, Nepal, and the West Indies.

Bangladesh’s campaign kicks off on February 7 with a match against the West Indies. All four of Bangladesh’s matches are scheduled to be played in India, with three games at Eden Gardens.

Earlier on Sunday, Asif Nazrul, the Youth and Sports Adviser for the interim Bangladesh government, announced a request to relocate the team’s World Cup matches to Sri Lanka.

This decision followed India’s action to force Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman to withdraw from the Indian Premier League due to rising tensions between the two nations.

Mustafizur is anticipated to spearhead Bangladesh’s bowling attack in the World Cup.
