MATCH PREVIEW
Afghanistan aims to clinch the three-match series as they face Zimbabwe in the second game at the Harare Sports Club this Friday.
In the opening match, the Afghan team dominated, securing a victory by 53 runs. Spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman took four wickets for just 20 runs in three overs, dismantling the Zimbabwean batting order. Azmatullah Omarzai, a seam-bowling all-rounder, also contributed by taking three wickets to restrict Zimbabwe to 127 in 16.1 overs.
On the batting front, openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (39) and Ibrahim Zadran (52) laid a strong foundation with a 72-run partnership, leading Afghanistan to a solid total of 180 for six in their allotted 20 overs.
