Adarsh Singh’s Double Ton Propels UP U23 to Dominant Semi-Final Win in State A Trophy
Uttar Pradesh Under-23 opener Adarsh Singh delivered an impressive performance by scoring a double century against Mumbai in the Men’s State A Trophy Elite semifinal at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday. Adarsh reached this significant milestone in just 129 balls, hitting 13 fours and 16 sixes.
The 20-year-old started off cautiously and notched up his century from 103 balls in the 39th over. After reaching 100, he accelerated rapidly, taking only 15 balls to jump from 100 to 150.
Uttar Pradesh concluded their first innings at 453 for five, with Adarsh undefeated on 223 from 138 balls, which included 18 sixes and 14 fours.
Adarsh, a left-handed batsman, was also a part of India’s Under-19 team for the 2024 World Cup, where he amassed 238 runs across seven matches, with his highest score being 76.
