Rishabh Pant to Sit Out West Indies Test Series: Reports
Indian vice-captain Rishabh Pant is expected to miss the upcoming series against West Indies as he continues to recover from a foot injury sustained during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Reports indicate that India is gearing up to face West Indies in two Test matches, starting on October 2 in Ahmedabad.
Pant suffered a fractured toe while attempting a reverse sweep against Chris Woakes during the fourth Test of India’s England tour. Although he did return to bat later in the innings, he missed the fifth Test and was advised to rest for six weeks.

Dhruv Jurel is expected to be Pant’s replacement, having kept wickets in both the fourth and fifth Tests of that series, and will also captain India A in its second unofficial Test against Australia A in Lucknow. During the England tour, N. Jagadeesan replaced Pant and may return to the squad since he has been active with India A as well.
