Smriti Mandhana’s Record Blitz: Second Fastest ODI Century for India
Smriti Mandhana achieved a remarkable milestone on Wednesday by scoring a century in just 77 balls during the second ODI against Australia in New Chandigarh. This feat marks the second-fastest century by an Indian woman. Mandhana also holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian batter, achieved in 70 balls against Ireland. The third-fastest Indian woman’s century is now held by Harmanpreet Kaur, who reached her century in 82 balls. Mandhana’s century against Australia also sets the record for the fastest by any player against the team, surpassing Nat Sciver’s previous best of 79 balls.
