Virat Kohli Hits Record 85th Century with Stunning 54th in ODIs
Virat Kohli achieved his 54th ODI century on Sunday during the third match against New Zealand at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Kohli accomplished this feat in just 91 balls, redeeming himself after being dismissed on 93 in the first ODI. Across all three formats, he has amassed 85 centuries, including 30 in Tests and one in T20Is.
Despite his impressive 124 runs off 108 balls on Sunday, India ultimately fell short by 41 runs while pursuing a daunting target of 338. Nonetheless, the 37-year-old has consistently performed well in the ODI format, achieving scores of 50 or more in six of his last seven matches.
In the previous year, Kohli demonstrated his skill with two centuries and a fifty in a three-match series against South Africa in December. He continued his excellent form with an additional century and a fifty for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Prior to those performances, he delivered an unbeaten 77 against Australia in Sydney.
