Telangana Premier League Set to Debut as HCA Unveils Exciting T20 Format
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) announced the launch of the Telangana T20 League on Monday, aiming to create a competitive platform for both professional cricketers and emerging talent in Telangana.
The tournament will feature teams from different regions of the state. To oversee the league, HCA has established a seven-member governing council, including T. Basvaraju (Joint Secretary), Sunil Agarwal (Councillor), Parth Satwalekar (Indian Players Association), Rajashekhar Dastagar (Councillor representing CAG), C. Sanjeev Reddy and V. Agam Rao (members chosen from the AGM list), along with Imtiaz Khan (CEO).
“The Telangana T20 League is an important initiative to nurture local talent and provide them with competitive exposure. We are dedicated to building a strong cricketing ecosystem in Telangana and inspiring the next generation of players,” stated acting president Sardar Daljeet Singh.
Further details such as the number of teams and tentative event dates will be disclosed following the upcoming governing council meeting.
