India U19 Seals Series Sweep with Suryavanshi, George’s Stunning Centuries

India U19 Dominates Series with Phenomenal Centuries from Suryavanshi and George

Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued his incredible performance by hitting another impressive century, while Aaron George also scored a superb century, leading India U-19 to a massive 233-run victory over South Africa in the third youth ODI on Wednesday, completing a clean sweep of the three-match series.

After being sent in to bat, stand-in captain Suryavanshi, who dazzled with a 24-ball 68 in the previous match, once again showcased his six-hitting prowess. He reached his century in just 63 balls, finishing with 10 sixes and nine fours, and ultimately scored 127 off 74 balls.

The 14-year-old talent from Bihar found great support from George, who scored 118 off 106 balls. Together, they set a formidable foundation with a 227-run partnership for the opening wicket.

India posted a daunting total of 393 for 7, a target too steep for South Africa, who were bowled out for 160 in 35 overs.

For the hosts, Ntando Soni (3/61) and Jason Rowles (2/59) shared the burden of taking wickets at Willowmoore Park.

While chasing, South Africa faltered early, reducing to 15 for 3 by the fourth over, as Kishan Singh dominated with the ball, dismissing Jorich Van Schalkwyk (1), Adnaan Lagadien (9), and Lethabo Phahlamohlaka (0).

The 19-year-old Singh, who had previously claimed four wickets in the second game, was once again the standout bowler.

Although Daniel Bosman (40) and Rowles (19) provided some resistance, South Africa crumbled to 99 for six in the 23rd over. Paul James (41) and Corne Botha (36 not out) managed to extend the innings just slightly.

Earlier, Suryavanshi once again grabbed attention with his powerful batting, achieving his third century in Youth ODIs. He has also hit four fifties in his 18 matches so far, accumulating 973 runs at an average of 54.05 and a strike rate of 164.08.

India had previously won the first match by 25 runs via the DLS method and the second match by eight wickets.
