Pakistan Seals Dominant Win Against SA with Afridi and Noman's Wicket-Fest

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the 2026 Under-19 World Cup on Saturday. This tournament will take place in Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15 to February 6.

Five-time champions India has been placed in Group B alongside New Zealand, USA, and Bangladesh. India is set to kick off its campaign against the USA on January 15 in Bulawayo, with subsequent matches against Bangladesh on January 17 and New Zealand on January 24.

The forthcoming edition of the U-19 World Cup will have 16 teams divided into four groups, proceeding to the Super Six stage. Four teams from the Super Six will then move on to the semifinals.

In their last outing, the Under-19 team participated in the Asia Cup in the UAE, where they were runners-up after losing to Pakistan in the final.

Before the World Cup, India will engage in a three-match ODI series in South Africa. Vaibhav Suryavanshi will captain the team for this series, as regular captain Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra are sidelined due to injuries.
