Bihar Sets New Benchmark with Record 574 in List A Cricket

Bihar made history by achieving the highest team total in List A cricket during their Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 match against Arunachal Pradesh in Ranchi on Wednesday.

Opting to bat first, Bihar amassed an incredible 574 for 6, surpassing the previous List A record of 506 for 2 set by Tamil Nadu against Arunachal Pradesh in 2022.

This remarkable feat was anchored by three centuries. Teenager Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the standout performer with a scintillating 190, while Ayush Loharuka contributed 116, and captain Sakibul Gani added another hundred to round off the onslaught.

Suryavanshi’s innings also earned him the distinction of being the youngest centurion in List A cricket. Gani’s century came in just 32 balls, marking the fastest hundred by an Indian in this format.
