Jasprit Bumrah Sidelined for Third T20I Due to Personal Commitments
Jasprit Bumrah will be absent from the third T20I match between India and South Africa in Dharamshala due to personal reasons. India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, announced Bumrah’s absence during the toss before the match.
Bumrah participated in the first two matches of the series, securing figures of 2/17 in the first game and 0/45 in the second.
According to a statement released by the BCCI, “Jasprit Bumrah has returned home for personal reasons and will not be available for the game. Further updates on his rejoining the squad for the remaining matches will be provided in due course.”
To compensate for Bumrah’s absence, Harshit Rana has been brought into the Indian team, marking one of the two changes. Kuldeep Yadav is also replacing Axar Patel, who is unwell, as India decided to bowl first.
In the first T20I in Cuttack, the 32-year-old reached a significant milestone by taking his 100th T20I wicket, dismissing Dewald Brevis.
