Jasprit Bumrah Shines as Second Indian to Achieve 100 T20I Wickets Milestone in IND vs SA Clash

During the first T20I match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah became the second Indian bowler to achieve 100 T20I wickets. He reached this milestone by dismissing Dewald Brevis. Before Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh was the only Indian to surpass this landmark, achieving it during India’s Asia Cup 2025 match against Oman.

Prior to Tuesday’s match, Bumrah’s impressive T20I record included 99 wickets from 80 matches, with an average of 18.11 and an economy rate of 6.36. His best performance in a match came against Afghanistan during the 2024 T20 World Cup in Bridgetown, where he took 3/7. In the rankings of Indian T20I wicket-takers, he is second only to Arshdeep Singh.
