Starc Overtakes Akram as Top Left-Arm Wicket-Taker in Test History
On Thursday, Mitchell Starc became the leading left-arm fast bowler in Test cricket history, overtaking the legendary Wasim Akram from Pakistan.
Starc’s milestone was reached when he took his third wicket of the match by dismissing Harry Brook at the Gabba during the first day of the day-night Ashes Test in Brisbane, bringing his Test career total to 415 wickets. He achieved this in two fewer matches than Akram.
