India U19 Squad: Ayush Mhatre Leads as Captain with Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Inclusion
The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the Under-19 squad for the upcoming Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from December 12th to 21st.
Chennai Super Kings player Ayush Mhatre has been named as the captain of the 15-member team, which features players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Vihaan Malhotra. One of the key matches in the group stage will be against Pakistan on December 14 at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Currently, the Under-19 players are participating in a tri-series at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, where the India U-19 A team is set to face Afghanistan U-19 in the final on Sunday.
This Asia Cup serves as a crucial preparation event for the team as they gear up for the Under-19 ODI World Cup in 2026.
