Ranji Trophy 2025-26: Mumbai, Vidarbha, Karnataka, Bengal Lead After Round 5

The fifth round of the Ranji Trophy for the 2025-26 season wrapped up on Wednesday. With the conclusion of this round, the tournament takes a break for the upcoming white-ball competitions and will continue in January for the final two rounds.

Vidarbha, the defending champion, leads Group A with 25 points, after securing three wins and two draws. Meanwhile, Mumbai has amassed 24 points through consecutive innings victories, placing them at the top of Group D.

Karnataka and Bengal are currently leading Groups B and C, respectively.

In the Plate Group, Manipur is leading with 18 points, closely followed by Bihar with 16 points. Both Sikkim and Meghalaya are tied at 15 points and remain contenders for the finals.
