Vaibhav Suryavanshi Blazes Record Books with Joint Second Fastest T20 Hundred by an Indian in Rising Stars Asia Cup
Vaibhav Suryavanshi matched the second-fastest T20 century by an Indian during the Rising Stars Asia Cup match against the UAE at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Friday. The opener reached his century in just 32 balls in India’s tournament opener, striking 10 fours and nine sixes.
The record for the quickest T20 hundred by an Indian belongs to Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma, each reaching the milestone in 28 balls. Earlier this year, Suryavanshi became the youngest player to score a century in the IPL at 14 years and 32 days old.
His 35-ball century for the Rajasthan Royals ranks as the second-fastest in the history of the T20 tournament, only surpassed by Chris Gayle’s 30-ball century for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
