In the ongoing Test series against Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, South Africa is in a challenging position. Despite having won their last 10 Tests, setting a national record, their current situation is not straightforward. One of their bowlers achieved remarkable success capturing 11 wickets in this match, and Tony de Zorzi scored a commendable century in South Africa’s first innings. Noman claimed six wickets in the first innings and both South African wickets on Tuesday.

Tony de Zorzi’s standout performance in the first innings, lasting almost three-and-a-half hours for his 104 runs, positioned him as one of only five South Africans to achieve a Test century in Pakistan. On Tuesday, he and Ryan Rickelton faced the challenging conditions together. As the game progresses into its next phase, the duo’s partnership will be crucial against the strong Pakistani spin attack, including Sajid Khan and Salman Agha. Despite the difficulties, de Zorzi remains optimistic, viewing his partnership with Rickelton as a key to potential victory.
