Afghanistan Set for Zimbabwe Challenge: Test and T20I Clash

Zimbabwe Cricket announced on Wednesday (October 1) that Afghanistan will tour Zimbabwe once again to engage in a one-off Test and three T20Is. The series is set to begin later this month, kicking off with a one-off Test on October 20 followed by T20Is on October 29, October 31, and November 2.

This single Test match will mark Zimbabwe’s 10th Test this year, having already faced Ireland, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, and New Zealand.

Afghanistan’s upcoming visit to Zimbabwe is their second within a year. Their previous comprehensive tour, 10 months ago, saw them clinching victories in all formats.

“We are thrilled to welcome Afghanistan for a one-off Test and three T20Is in Harare,” expressed ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni. “The contests between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan have been intensely competitive and entertaining, and we anticipate this series will delight our fans once more.”
